The chemical composition and processing performance of 6060 and 6063 aluminum alloys are similar, but they are not exactly the same. The difference between the two lies in the strength. 6060 is the national standard aluminum alloy for doors and windows, while 6063 is the aviation aluminum alloy licensed by the state.

6063 aluminum alloy belongs to Al-Mg-Si series alloy, which is widely used, especially the construction industry cannot do without this alloy. It is the most promising alloy. Good corrosion resistance, excellent weldability, good cold workability, and moderate strength.
The main alloying elements are magnesium and silicon, with excellent processing performance, excellent weldability, extrudability and electroplating, good corrosion resistance, toughness, easy to polish, color film, excellent anodizing effect, is a typical Extruded alloy. 6063 aluminum alloy profiles are widely used in building profiles, irrigation pipes, vehicles, benches, furniture, Tubes, rods, profiles for lifts, fences, etc.
It is a low-alloyed Al-Mg-Si series high plasticity alloy. It has many valuable features:
Strengthened by heat treatment, high impact toughness, and insensitive to missing.
With excellent thermoplasticity, it can be extruded at high speed into complex, thin-walled and hollow profiles or forged into forgings with complex structure, wide quenching temperature range, low quenching sensitivity, after extrusion and forging demoulding, as long as the temperature is higher than the quenching temperature. It can be quenched by water spray or water penetration. Thin-walled parts (6<3mm) can also be air quenched.
Excellent welding performance and corrosion resistance, no stress corrosion cracking tendency. Among heat-treatable-strengthened aluminum alloys, Al-Mg-Si alloys are the only alloys that have not found stress corrosion cracking. 4. The surface after processing is very smooth and easy to anodize and color. The disadvantage is that if it is aged at room temperature for a period of time after quenching, it will adversely affect the strength (parking effect).
